Reading and reflexivity.

Reading at school was also an important skill that served as a key to further knowledges but also made one become an active society member. There are concerns that reading in digital media make the thinking fractured, fragmented, splited. It is difficult to hold attention to develop serious internal conversation and discussion in class room. Also lecture times here is a problem.
There are concerns regarding lack of imagination (connected to deminishing time of reading).
Expressed emotionality among young people is growing. In part, it helps develop reflexive attitude.
Even if diversity in the types of reflexivity is underlined, the ideal of autonomous reflexivity is rarely reached, fractured reflexivity (that can not lead to courses of purposeful activity) is rather developing in Latvian schools. All these conclusions come from small research project conducted in Latvian schools in the fall 2019.
